Quiet tribute at the 9/11 Memorial

On April 29 the couple made their first visit to the National September 11 Memorial, laying bouquets at the edge of a memorial pool to honour nearly 3,000 lives lost in 2001, including 67 British citizens, and victims of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. A handwritten card attached read: "We honour the memory of all those who so tragically lost their lives on 11th September 2001, and stand in enduring solidarity with the American people in the face of such profound loss." It was signed "Charles R" and "Camilla R."
