How it began

Murray met Michael Jackson in 2006 after being called to treat Jackson's daughter, Paris. He later became Jackson's personal physician for the planned This Is It tour. Reports said Murray faced financial pressure at the time and was to be paid about $150,000 a month. Jackson died on June 25, 2009, from acute Propofol intoxication causing cardiac arrest; the death was ruled a homicide and Murray was charged and convicted of involuntary manslaughter in November 2011.
