Why she's playing campuses

In a TikTok, Larsson said she agreed to the college gigs long ago to help cover the cost of her main tour and that she doesn’t cancel booked shows. She quipped that while she never attended college and didn’t finish high school, she takes entertaining students seriously — and is having fun on the road.

Tour momentum and new music

Larsson wrapped the initial North American leg of her Midnight Sun Tour earlier this month. The college run precedes global festival dates through August, two September shows at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and concerts in Australia and New Zealand through October. Her recent hits and upgraded venues have fueled talk of arenas, and her deluxe album Midnight Sun: Girls Trip drops May 1 with collaborators including Shakira, PinkPantheress and Robyn.
