In a CBS Mornings interview, the singer told Gayle King she understands why many would take an easy settlement, but she says she won’t because she believes the accusations are untrue. She said she’s eager for the cases to be dismissed and that the reality is less sensational than headlines suggest.

The legal claims

Backup dancers Crystal Williams, Arianna Davis and Noelle Rodriguez filed suits in August 2023 accusing Lizzo of sexual and racial harassment and creating a hostile workplace; one suit alleges pressure to touch nude performers at a sex show in Amsterdam. Lizzo has denied those claims. Another suit from former wardrobe assistant Asha Daniels accused the team of fostering a racist, sexualized environment; Lizzo’s lawyers sought dismissals at various stages.
