Edgy glamour and couple moments

For the 2013 punk theme she chose a Gucci Première with feathers and organza; in 2014 she and Ryan Reynolds had their first red carpet as a couple, with Lively in a blush Gucci Première train. She matched the Met steps in a Burberry gown while pregnant in 2016 and coordinated looks with Reynolds again in 2017.

Co-chair crown and a personal touch

Her 2018 custom Versace and halo became one of her most talked-about moments, and as a 2022 co-chair she wore an Atelier Versace gown with a crown, opera gloves and a bow that transformed into a blue train. In 2026 she returned in an Atelier Versace spring 2006 gown featuring a 13-foot train and carried a custom Judith Leiber bag decorated with artwork by her four kids, cementing her Met Gala legacy.
