State funeral and global attendance

Leaders and royals from across Europe and beyond joined the service at Oslo Cathedral. Among those present were Prince William and Princess Anne of Britain, Spain’s King Felipe and Queen Letizia, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan, and Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Prince William attended as a representative of King Charles, while Princess Anne came in her role as King Haakon’s godmother. The late king’s coffin was carried from the Royal Palace Chapel to the Cathedral under honor guards.
